KALCI (Korean Association for Learner-centered Curriculum and Instruction) is an association where scholars and educators in different subject areas(e.g. math, science, language, arts, etc.) as well as education in general share their ideas and interests to promote the quality of curriculum and instruction. The theme of the 2018 KALCI international conference is "Exploring new visions for curriculum and instruction in the 4th industrial revolution era." With several prominent foreign scholars from dfferent countries, we would like to discuss new directions of curriculum and instruction which support our students to foster key competencies as citizens in the future world. Keynote Speakers : Prof. Chin-Chung Tsai National Taiwan Normal University, Taiwan His research interests deal largely with contructivism, epistemic beliefs, and Internet-based instruction related to science education. he has been appointed as the Co-Editor of CUmputers & Eudcaiton and is also currently served as the Editor of International Journal of Science Education.

Conference Highlights :Prof. Merredith Portsmore Tufts University, U.S. Her research interests focus on how children develop proficiency in engineering design practices, how online tools can be used in teacher education, and how outreach programs can be optimized to help children see engineering as a pathway. Prof. Steve Oliver University of Gerogia, U.S. His current research focuses on a number of projects including: creating and using computer animations for teaching the biological scienes in secondary school
