Description:This workshop will focus on the analysis and design of advanced geotechnical infrastructure systems including shallow and deep foundations, slopes & embankments, deep excavations, retaining structures, and shoring systems. Most engineers with responsibility for geotechnical and structure systems need a working understanding of basic concepts to gain confidence in dealing with a variety geotechnical related problems that they encounter on engineering projects. This workshop is designed so that participants can better understand geotechnical engineering and learn from experts in this field on how to design a safe and sustainable geotechnical system in various site and loading conditions. All key concepts and guidelines will be explained and emphasis will be placed on the practical application of the information provided.
