The Heart Institute of the Caribbean (HIC) and the Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC) will be hosting a joint HIC/ABC cardiovascular care conference in Kingston, Jamaica, at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel from January 18th – 20th 2019. The theme of the conference is “Conversations with the Masters of Cardiology - Cardiovascular Care and Technology in Low Resource Environments.” HIC and ABC are continuing to work together on shared initiatives that promote the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. This conference is one such initiative which will attract 150-200 speakers and attendees comprising of various healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, technicians, medical students etc.), many of whom will be representing prestigious international institutions, including The University of Pennsylvania, Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute, John Hopkins University, Harvard Medical School, to name a few.
