Laboratory of Ethnomathematics and Didactics, INSPEM will be organising a seminar on “Ethnomathematics and Mathematics Education 2018 (SEME’18)” on 4th - 5th July 2018 in Institute for Mathematical Research (INSPEM), UPM. The objectives of this seminar are to share and disseminate information and ideas related to Ethnomathematics and Mathematics Education in order to create human capital with strong mathematical background; and to serve as a platform for researchers, educators, mathematicians and students to discuss current developments in research related to Ethnomathematics and Mathematics Education. The seminar will discuss various aspects of Ethnomathematics and Mathematics Education with particular emphasis this time on the theme “Directions in Ethnomathematics and Mathematics Education towards Personality Development”. We welcome submissions from the area of Ethnomathematics and Mathematics Education (but NOT limited to): Ethnomathematics, Philosophy and Mathematical Thinking, Pedagogy in Mathematics Education, Technology in Mathematics Education and Current Issues in Ethnomathematics and Mathematics Education.
