Description:
Fire is one of the common events that occur during the lifetime of Reinforced Concrete (RC) structures. This workshop focuses on providing attendees with the knowledge needed to assess the axial, flexural, and shear capacities of RC elements exposed to fire. Practical design examples will be presented and discussed. Tools that simplify the calculations will be provided to attendees. This workshop is part of a training series on structural fire engineering by Prof. Youssef and Dr. El-Fitiany. Certificates for PDHs (Professional Development Hours) showing the Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be awarded upon completion of the workshop. The workshop will be 3.5 hours, which is equivalent to 0.35 CEUs.Deadline for abstracts/proposals : 27th March 2020
