All over the world young and old men and women have been drawn to various platforms of the social media. This has had impact on teaching and learning in no small measure. If the attention social media has drawn is used positively it will promote the cause of education in Nigeria. We look forward to harnessing the great potentials embedded in Social Media in transforming classroom experiences in STEM education to the most desirable state in Nigeria and beyond. Hence, the Theme of this 13th National Conference of the school of Sciences is tagged "Social Media and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education in Nigeria" in this conference, Issues, Challenges, and Prospect of using Social Media Platforms to impact the teaching-learning process will be our focus.
