Trauma encompasses all parts of the orthopaedic anatomy and all age ranges from infants to pensioners. Though specialisation is the key to developing a pure understanding of an area, it is important that every trauma surgeon or allied health professional be exposed to the many different fields of trauma care. There will also be opportunities for surgeons to bring cases for forum discussion, providing a greater width with specific end-points. With this we hope that the model can be replicated at subsequent venues and yet remain fresh.
