7th International Seminar on vernacular settlements invites those who are interested in the vernacular settlements, traditions and cultural identity to propose academic papers that re-asseses the role of vernacular traditions on contemporary architecture in the current wave of globalization. It invites the scholars from interdisciplinary fields from architecture and geography to politics to contribute to the on going debate on the role and relevance of traditions and vernacular practices - particularly its high traditions - as relevant for the modern world. we are interested in critical perspectives and original interrogations and research to advance the debate on vernacular settlements.
